The new facility is located in the heart of the Rice campus. Building highlights include a new indoor gymnasium, enhanced fitness rooms, racquetball and squash courts, 9000 sqft of cardio and weights space, a dance studio, a 50-meter outdoor-competition pool, 2400 sqft outdoor-recreation pool, and outdoor-basketball courts. The building, opened to the campus for use September 25, 2009, and will better serve the recreational and wellness needs of Rice students, faculty and staff.
