Emergency sidewalk closures

Some emergency sidewalk closures at the following locations are scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 9. beginning at 8:00 am. These closures are necessary to allow the City of Houston to repair a significant water leak on campus at the corner of College Way and Alumni Drive along the inner loop road. The locations are as follows:

· A small section of the sidewalk near Alice Pratt Brown on the east-side of the building closest to the entrance that faces Baker and McNair Halls

· A small section of sidewalk that runs east to west on the north-side at Hanszen College near the 20’s

· A small section of sidewalk that runs north to south connecting Hanszen College to the inner loop road

These areas will be barricaded and coned off while work is taking place. A plywood path will be available for use in these areas to allow pedestrians to continue to use the area. The City of Houston anticipates work completing before the end of the same day.
