Bertner Avenue Lane Closure

A crane will be set up on Bertner Avenue north of Bates Street on May 16 from 4:00 AM until 4:00 PM and on May 21 from 9:00 PM until 3:00 AM to install a new Gamma Knife machine and associated equipment at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

The two northbound lanes of Bertner Avenue and one southbound lane of Bertner Avenue north of Bates Street to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center’s Radiation Oncology Drive will be closed to traffic. One southbound lane of Bertner Avenue will remain open for all traffic going north or south. University of Texas Police will allow traffic to travel in both directions alternatively during the Gamma Knife lift.

University of Texas Police will be on site to assist with traffic control and pedestrian safety. Vaughn Construction, the contractor, will install the proper signage for traffic flow changes. Access to all buildings on Bertner will remain open.
